Deputy Director for the Office of Financial Management and Administration

Robert Carlson was appointed Deputy Director for Financial Management and Administration in 1996. He oversees the planning and development of financial, personal, contractual, and computer services. He has served the Department of Public Works for 28 years.

Before joining DPW, Mr. Carlson spent seven years with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, a nine-county Bay Area transportation-planning agency. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Mr. Carlson lives in San Francisco and is married with two children.
